HOME COUNTRY AND THE CRASS MENAGERIE is about politics in the United States of America. This book is a primer for children and adults alike.  It covers the types of people who are involved in our political process.  It teaches how the political process works and what our Founding Fathers believed they fought for.  Learn how our political system evolved from the chaos of the Revolutionary War through the establishment of our Constitutional-based government.  This story is told as a satire through historical and contemporary animal personalities.

If you have ever scratched your head in wonder at the idiocy of politics, then Home Country and the Crass Menagerie will give you just the chuckle, and information, you need to help you cope!

This book contains every word of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and all Amendments thereof.  Enjoy a few refreshing moments as you reacquaint yourself with the most powerful founding documents of the most influential Republic on the planet!

Here is an excerpt from Home Country & the Crass Menagerie:

Obama speaks well

& has great charisma too.

With the excitement that he generates

what voters can he woo?

We hope all these excited voters

can just step back a bit

To analyze each and every word

to prove the truth of it.

Obama says negotiate with our foes,

with them share drink and bread.

Does he really think we can make nice

when that foe just wants us dead?

The impression that Obama is the savior

for this great and wonderful land.

Took a dip in party quicksand

as his advisor took a hateful public stand.

Obama had no idea how his advisor felt

 and said he couldn’t know.

The man had only been his advisor

for twenty years or so.

Obama’s wife said she’s glad

she can now say long and loud.

For the first time in her adult life,

of this country she is proud.

Could she have no pride the years before

receiving her Harvard  education?

Or pride when her husband won his bid

for senator in his first run for election?

Is pride only to be inspired by the chance

you will be Special by association.

If you are married to the president

of the most powerful world nation.

When listening to Obama I feel inspired

and kind of hopeful.

But when I try to remember what he said,

his value does seems entirely doubtful.
